Meat Loaf in 'stable and good condition' after on-stage collapse

Meat Loaf is in a "stable and good condition" following his on-stage collapse.

The singer was performing in Edmonton on Thursday (June 16) when the incident happened.

The 68-year-old fell on stage mid-song and was aided by band members before being rushed to hospital.

It has now been confirmed that the US star is "stable" following the fall.

The collapse came only days after Meat Loaf pulled a date in Calgary due to illness.

In 2011 the singer collapsed during a live show and later blamed lack of oxygen.

One year later he pulled an appearance on ITV's Loose Women at the last minute after falling ill backstage.
