Denise Welch's son, Matt Healy of The 1975, is so busy that she has to rely on updates from his band's security team to find out his whereabouts. 

Chatting about her relationship with her son on Good Morning Britain, she explained: “My eldest son is in LA a lot. He’s on a world tour, I never know where he is from one minute to the next. I miss him so much because I’ve lost him to this world."

“[He texts me] just ‘k’ or just kiss so I phone security Mark and find out where he is and what they are doing but you know of course I miss him but I couldn’t be more thrilled [that he is doing well]. He said I’m turning into the mother from The Sopranos like, 'You don’t call, you don’t ring, I make you tea you don’t come…”

Referring to The 1975's newly announced headlining date at London's O2 Arena, Welch added: “When he sells out the O2 [Arena] in three hours, I’m like, ‘I can’t believe you came out of me!’”
