The 1975's Matt Healy mistaken for Skrillex by Usher

The 1975's frontman, Matt Healy, has revealed that he was once mistaken for Skrillex by none other than R&B sensation, Usher.

Speaking to Pitchfork about the awkward encounter, which took place at South by Southwest festival in 2013, he explained that as soon as he realised what was happening he felt pretty "pissed off":

"I was standing by the side of the stage and Usher - actual fucking Usher - bounded over to me, like, 'Yo man, what’s up?' And I’m like, 'Hello, mate. How you doing?' And then he made some weird excuse and left very quickly."

"As he was leaving, I realised he thought I was fucking Skrillex, and it pissed me off so much. I haven’t run into him since - but I’m definitely going to pretend to be Skrillex if I do."

The 1975, meanwhile, recently confirmed details of a massive headlining concert that will take place at London's O2 Arena on December 16 and tickets for the milestone event are on sale now.
