Paramore have released a statement following the revelation that two of the group’s founding members have quit the band.

The statement, made by remaining members Hayley Williams, Jeremy Davis and Taylor York, stated that brothers Josh and Zac Farro – guitar and drums respectively – had made the decision “a couple of months ago”.

The brothers’ last performance with the band came in Orlando on December 12.

The remaining members of Paramore claim they were not “really shocked” over the departure and claim that the band will continue without them.

“We never for a second thought about leaving any of this behind," they said. "We really hope that you can be encouraged by the fact that the three of us who are still here are ready to take on another chapter of our journey together."
