Gorillaz are giving away their latest album ‘The Fall’ today for a free download off their website as a Christmas present to fans

The album was recorded on an iPad during the band’s recent US tour and a song already appeared on the net yesterday with a video, entitled ‘Phoner to Arizona’.

The album has been described by Damon Albarn as a “sonic journal” and is produced by Stephen Sedgewick.

The ‘Plastic Beach’ follow-up can be downloaded on Gorillaz.com and a physical release of the record is being planned for the New Year.
