Jo Whiley to leave BBC's Radio 1

Iconic Radio 1 DJ, Jo Whiley, is to step down from her presenter duties, the BBC has revealed. 

She will not be retiring from radio though as the star will be moving to Radio 2 to take over from Mark Radcliffe. Ben Cooper, the deputy controller for Radio 1 said of the move:

"Jo has been an amazing ambassador for Radio 1. From the Britpop days of the Evening Session, via the muddy fields of Glastonbury, to incredible performances in the Live Lounge, her passion for breaking new bands has been second to none.” 

Huw Stephens will replace Whiley at the UK's biggest station and the changes will take place at the end of March. Check out Jo Whiley interviewing the legendary pop star, Madonna, here:
