Donny Osmond expects "hell and back" for Bieber

Donny Osmond, who shot to fame as a child with his singing residency on The Andy Williams Show, has offered some words of wisdom to teen sensation Justin Bieber.

"I'm crossing my fingers for his, 'cause I know what it feels like right now. I hope he's relishing every single moment of this excitement, this enthusiasm, this hysteria that's going on. It's exciting."

"But in two or three years, hang in there buddy, you can get through it 'cause you have to go through hell and back."

"Two or three years from now everyone's gonna say, "Oh Justin Bieber, that's for little kids", Well he grew up too."

Osmond's experience as a child star taught him that although his fans will grow up and move on he will be effectively stuck in time and has reached out to the 17 year-old 'Baby' singer to explain that in years to come, he might be lucky enough to be still singing his hits at the age of 40 if he can "hang in there".
