The Feeling collaborate with Sophie Ellis Bextor

The Feeling, who are tweaking their new album, have revealed that their collaboration with Sophie Ellis Bextor only took one afternoon to lay down in the studio.

The 'Never Be Lonely' stars have been working on their third full-length record, 'Together We Were Made', for some time now and frontman Dan Gillespie Sells told BANG Showbiz that the song they made with the 'Murder On The Dancefloor' singer was very easy to finish:

"We knew that it would sound great and it was really easy. She's very professional in the studio and she sounds great on record - as soon as you put her voice on a track, it just sits in the right place. It took one afternoon."

Bextor has previously worked with the band on her own projects and is married to the bass player, Richard Jones, so their existing familiarity and understanding of each other's work would more than likely have helped their chemistry in the studio.

"I've written one of her records before, and Richard and Paul Stewart, our drummer, were her backing and rhythm section back in the old days, so we've worked with her before," Dan added.

"We've tried collaborating in the past but it's never worked. Now we're three albums in and a bit more established, it felt like it was the right thing to do at this stage."

The Feeling's forthcoming album, which also features a collaboration with Roisin Murphy, is set to be released on June 20 and you can watch the video for their new single here:
