Pendulum to take time out for side projects

Pendulum, who recently rocked Scotland's T in the Park festival, have revealed that their fourth album has been put on hold while they work on individual projects.

The crossover collective have enjoyed an incredibly successful career to date, but bassist Gareth McGrillen explained to BBC's Newsbeat that it's time to bow out for a while:

"We're going to force ourselves to take a break for a while, so we don't go too mental. There's always pressure to succeed, that's part of why we're taking a break."

"We are doing lots of side project stuff, all the kind of music that wouldn't really be relevant to Pendulum."

According to McGrillen, he has teamed up with band member Rob Swire to put their energy and creativity into a project they have named Knife Party, but he reassured fans that the group aren't disbanding:

"The great thing about Pendulum is we all have our things going on but we all come together, it's like a hub,"
