Soulja Boy provokes criticism with new anti army troops lyrics

Soulja Boy has caused outrage with new lyrics that feature in his recently released track, 'Let's Be Real'.

He provoked significant criticism after the song was unveiled as it makes defamatory remarks about the armed forces, "F**k the FBI and the army troops. Fighting for what? Be your own man, I'll be flying through the clouds with green like I'm Peter Pan."

A retired Marine, named Fred A. Flores, has demanded an apology from the rapper - real name DeAndre Cortez Way - and explained to TMZ that the lyrics are both offensive and insensitive what with the anniversary of 9/11 on the horizon:

"It's a very offensive statement... especially with the 10th anniversary of 9/11 coming up. He should apologise to ALL armed forces. (The rap) is very irresponsible, especially for a person who is an entertainer for the youth of our country."
