Garbage confirm 2012 world tour and album

Garbage have announced details of a full headlining comeback tour for 2012. 

The rockers, fronted by Shirley Manson, confirmed the long-awaited news on their official Facebook page on Sunday (December 11) morning and explained that next year will see them release a brand new album and take their music on the road for a special world tour:

"Ladies and gentlemen, it is our great pleasure to announce for the first time in 7 years the first two confirmed performances by Garbage will take place in St. Petersburg, Russia on May 11th and in Moscow, Russia on May 12th 2012."

"These are the first dates to be confirmed on our world tour of 2012 but we rush to assure Garbage fans all over the world that there are many more dates yet to be announced."

 

 

 

The band also expressed their gratitude towards their fans for their unwavering support over the years and added:

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support. It is the outpouring of such incredible enthusiasm that propelled us to make this new record and to get back out on the road to play for you all again."
