Alexandra Burke works with Emeli Sandé on new album

Alexandra Burke has revealed more details about her forthcoming second album.

In an interview with the Daily Star Sunday, the 2008 X-Factor winner said: "The album has taken inspiration from '90s club anthems, that's been a big influence whilst recording. I've recorded tracks that are out of my comfort zone but I'm growing up. I'm a woman now!"

The ‘Bad Boys’ hit-maker also confirmed that she has been in the studio with BRITs Critics Choice winner Emeli Sandé on the follow-up to chart-topping debut 'Overcome,' adding: "[Emeli Sandé] is a real talent and it's an honour to work with her."

Sandé, who sold over 100,000 copies of her debut album, 'Our Version Of Events,' to chart at number one yesterday, has previously written for several acts from the Simon Cowell stable including Susan Boyle (‘This Will Be The Year’), Leona Lewis (‘Trouble’), and Cheryl Cole (‘Boys’).

Burke releases her comeback single, ‘Elephant,’ on March 12, with the album, which she recently described as “more womanly” and “sexier,” set to follow in the Spring.
