Plan B wants to change rioters' lives

Plan B has declared he wants his music and upcoming film to change the lives of those who were involved in last summer’s riots.

The 28-year-old, real name Ben Drew, admitted to The Sun that he could have been one of the rioters himself had it not been for his love of hip-hop:

"I'll never forget where I come from. I could have been one of those kids on the streets last summer. Nothing has changed since then. What's to stop it happening again?

"I want my music and movie to help kids like me, who have been forgotten about and laughed at. I know it has that power."

The East London star’s new single, ‘iLL Manors,’ was recently described by Tottenham MP David Lammy as ‘reflecting the anger’ of a generation, and Plan B says he hopes his ‘hip-hop musical’ of the same name can have a similar impact:

"I want iLL Manors to open people's eyes from all classes. We need to know why there are so many kids in this country that don't feel they have a future, who don't give a f*** and don't care about a criminal record.

"Society doesn't give a f*** about them. They were showing they don't give a f*** about society. But I know their opinion can be changed."
