Charlie Simpson reveals film soundtrack plans

Charlie Simpson has revealed he is working on his first film soundtrack.

The Fightstar frontman, who kicked off his new solo tour in Ipswich last night, told The Daily Star that he can’t wait to get started on the British movie, which has been described as ‘Lost In Translation meets Before Sunset.’

“I’ve got a huge passion for film so I’m starting with an independent film.

“It’s a dark comedy called Everybody’s Going To Die. It will be a great first thing for me to get my teeth into.”

The former Busted star, who releases the 'Farmer and His Gun E.P.' next Monday, has already embraced the film world with the video for its title track. In a separate interview with Magnate Magazine, the 26-year-old explained the idea behind the animated clip:

“The video for Farmer and his Gun is essentially based around the kids film Watership Down. I don’t actually know why it’s a kid’s film – it’s really dark!”

“The story is of rabbits, who are forced to leave their homes, travel and seek a new place to live. That’s really what the song ‘Farmer and his Gun’ is about, so we approached an illustrator and created the rabbits.”
