Lamb of God singer to remain in prison on manslaughter charge despite posting bail

Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe is to remain in prison over a manslaughter charge despite posting bail.

The 41-year-old American is currently in custody in a Prague prison after being charged with the manslaughter of one of the metal band's fans at a gig in 2010.

The BBC reports that the singer has posted bail of four million Czech koruna (£126,000) but due to the bail system in the Czech Republic, he won't be released immediately.

They say the the decision to release him could take "several days".

Blythe was charged last week with the manslaughter of a fan at a Lamb of God show in Prague in May 2010.

It is alleged that Blythe pushed the fan from the stage, who is said to have later died as a result of reportedly hitting his head off the venue's floor.

The band's publicist had previously issued a statement saying that they expect Blythe to be "fully exonerated".
