Newton Faulkner scores number one album with 'Write It On Your Skin'

Newton Faulkner has today scored his second number one album with ‘Write It On Your Skin.’

The 27-year-old’s third studio effort held off stiff competition from Frank Ocean’s ‘Channel Orange’ to retain its midweek lead and join 2007 debut ‘Hand Built By Robots’ on his list of UK chart-toppers.

Lianne La Havas’ ‘Is Your Love Big Enough?’ entered at No.4, just below Maroon 5’s ‘Overexposed’ but one place ahead of last week’s number one, Chris Brown’s ‘Fortune.’

Elsewhere, there were new entries for The View's 'Cheeky For A Reason' (No.9), Adam Lambert’s ‘Trespassing' (No.16) and a re-entry for Lady Antebellum's 'Need You Now' (No.32).
