Florence + The Machine score first UK number one single with ‘Spectrum’

Florence + The Machine have today scored their first UK number one single with ‘Spectrum (Say My Name).’

The Calvin Harris remix of the fifth single from ‘Ceremonials,’ achieved the feat on its first week of release, narrowly preventing last week’s number one, Maroon 5’s ‘Payphone,’ from spending a third week at the top spot.

Will.i.am’s ‘This Is Love’ held firm at No.3, Chris Brown’s ‘Don’t Wake Me Up’ slipped two places to No.4, while Stooshe’s ‘Black Heart’ remained at No.5.

Elsewhere, Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pound The Alarm’ climbed into the Top 10 at No.10, Adam Lambert scored his first Top 20 hit with ‘Never Close Our Eyes’ at No.17, while there were new entries for David Guetta's 'I Can Only Imagine' at No.21 and The Vaccines’ ‘No Hope’ at No.37.
