Madonna to be sued over swastika image

Madonna is to be sued by a French political party over the use of a swastika image on her current tour.

The singer angered far-right group National Front after she superimposed a swastika on leader Marine Le Pen's forehead on a visual backdrop at the start of her 'MDNA' tour.

The party has now declared that they will step up legal action against the Queen of Pop after she used the image again at a show in Paris on Saturday (July 14).

The BBC reports that National Front vice-president Florian Philippot said the image was used by Madonna so that "people will talk about her". He said:

"This is just another provocation in Madonna's world tour so that people will talk about her. Marine Le Pen will defend not only her own honour but her supporters and the millions of National Front voters."
