Taylor Swift and One Direction were among the winners at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards.

The ceremony took place on Sunday night (July 22) in Calfornia and saw a host of top names from the entertainment world come together.

Swift won a number of awards on the night, including the female artist and single by a female artist gongs.

One Direction meanwhile reigned supreme in the summer music star group category and also the love song section, which they won with 'What Makes You Beautiful'.

Canadian star Justin Bieber meanwhile won the male artist category, with the 18-year-old also performing on the night.
