Emma Thompson has revealed her excitement over working on Jay-Z’s remake of Annie.

The Oscar winning actress said that she’s looking forward to having dinner with the rap superstar, who is overseeing the soundtrack to the adaptation of the 1982 children’s classic:

"I have been writing the script for nearly three years, it's exciting.

"Jay-Z has already started working on the music. We will start shooting in the spring in New York."

The Love Actually star also spoke of her admiration for Willow Smith, who will take on the iconic lead role:

"In the autumn, we get to go to LA to work with Willow and work on more of the script.

"I really like Willow. She is getting so tall. I mean both Willow and Jayden are remarkable."
