Cheryl Cole could be set to make a cameo in popular film series The Hangover.

Actor Zach Galifianakis has lent his weight to rumours that the British singer could make an appearance in the third installment of the comedy film, which is currently shooting.

Galifianakis appeared in the first two Hangover movies and he will reprise his role once again alongside the likes of Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms.

Speaking to FHM about rumours of Cole appearing in the new film, the actor said:

"I have heard the rumours about her making a cameo and there seems to be something to them. But I don't know if anything's signed yet."

Cole meanwhile also appeared in the 2007 film St. Trinian's alongside her Girls Aloud bandmates Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle and Sarah Harding.
