Guinness World Records award for 'Gangnam Style'

The South Korean singer of ‘Gangnam Style’ Psy was presented with a Guinness World Records award for his 'Gangnam Style' music video in London yesterday.

‘Gangnam Style’ is now the world record holder of the most liked clip in YouTube history.

Psy was presented with the certificate at BBC Radio 1's studios in London, he told the radio station,

"I'm honoured, this is the first certificate I've ever had!"

After its initial July 15 debut on the video sharing site, it took just under a month for it to hit 25 million views on YouTube, it now has no problem gaining nearly that same amount in three days' time.

The video has been gaining views at an average of 15 million views per day since midway through September, and it shows no signs of stopping.

Psy was the first South Korean artist to reach number one in the UK chart with his worldwide hit single.

'Gangnam Style' with its elaborate dance routine has since been copied by several celebrities and parodied all over the world.

When asked by Jonathan Ross on his ITV1 chat show if there will be a follow up track with a dance routine, Psy remained tight lipped but revealed that it will have a sports theme.
