Singer R Kelly has released a touching tribute to the people affected by the recent tragic shooting that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.

The shooting happened last month, on December 14, and 26 people were killed in the incident in Newtown with 20 of the victims being children under 10 years old.

Kelly's gospel-tinged track, entitled 'I Know You Are Hurting', features a children's choir and the lyrics:

"I know you’re hurting. I hear you crying, but come tomorrow, there's a place you can go. Find the blue skies. Hear the choir sing. Feel the power of a miracle."
