Dappy 'started garage attack by spitting at women', court hears

Dappy is alleged to have ignited a brawl at a petrol station by spitting at two women who refused to get in a car with him.

As previously reported, the N-Dubz rapper has been hit with a number of assault charges relating to an incident at a garage in Surrey in February 2011.

He denies all of the charges and is appearing alongside two other co-defendants, with the fourth co-defendant pleading guilty to affray.

A court heard today (January 8) from prosecutor Brian Stork that Dappy invited two women into a car which contained himself and two other men, but they refused.

Dappy is then alleged to have spat at the them and called one "ugly", before another man, who had just met the females, interjected, with a brawl ensuing.

The trial, which is taking place at the Guildford Crown Court, continues.
