Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney has shared an animated clip with his 1.1 million Twitter followers that features his late wife, Linda.

The video is only 40 seconds long, but is entitled 'Heart of the Country' and features colourful animated animals playing musical instruments and a cartoon likeness of Linda McCartney snapping photographs and handing out food.

Writing on the social networking site earlier today (January 15), the 'Blackbird' icon explained that it's great to see the short online: "From Paul: "Great to see Linda animation up on YouTube - looks great - love it."

The clip is soundtracked by Paul McCartney singing 'Heart of the Country', which was originally written by Paul and Linda McCartney and featured on the 1971 album, 'Ram'.

Although there has been no explanation about what the video is for, speculation suggests that it could have something to do with Linda McCartney's popular vegetarian foods company.
