Dappy found guilty of affray and assault

Dappy has been found guilty of affray and one count of assault.

The N-Dubz rapper had the verdict delivered today (January 17) at the Guildford Crown Court.

The star was charged with a number of offences relating to an alleged brawl at a petrol station in Surrey in February last year.

He was accused of spitting at two women then being involved in a subsequent fight.

The music star has been cleared of the two counts of common assault relating to allegedly spitting at the women.

Dappy, who was joined in the trial by two co-defendants, denied all charges. Kieran Vassell, 25, of Hammersmith, west London, was found guilty of affray, but Kalonji Stewart, 32, of Harborne, Birmingham, was found not guilty.

A fourth co-defendant had previously pleaded guilty his charge of affray.

Sentencing is due to take place on February 15.
