Alicia Keys on Beyoncé's controversial inauguration performance: 'You can't doubt her vocal ability'

'Girl On Fire' songstress Alicia Keys has become the latest music star to weigh in on Beyoncé's performance at Monday's (January 21) inauguration ceremony.

Beyoncé sang the American national anthem, but the US Marine Corps Band who played throughout the event revealed that she lip-synched to a pre-recorded vocal track.

To add to the confusion, a team of sound production experts today came forward and confessed that after analysing the footage they can't believe that she mimed because everything about it seemed live.

Keys spoke to Capital FM about the much talked about incident and explained that regardless of the truth, Beyoncé has an incredible voice and she is an unbelievable performer, which shouldn't be overlooked:

"What I do know is that Beyonce is a great performer and she's an incredible artist with a really, really powerful voice. The one thing that you cannot doubt is that she can sing. She absolutely can sing."

"All the rest of the 'whys' or 'whatever', we know that she can deliver and she did deliver that song really beautifully."
