Acts such as JLS and The Wanted have been confirmed for a mammoth outdoor pop gig in Sunderland this summer.

The cream of the British pop scene will play the Stadium of Light on June 22 as fans enjoy some top names.

Other acts on the bill include Rita Ora, Little Mix, Conor Maynard and Lawson.

They will be joined by Stooshe, Amelia Lily, Union J and more at the event, which will kick off at 2.30pm.

Sunderland FC's commercial director Gary Hutchinson said about the gig: "This is a change from the type of music event the Stadium of Light has staged previously and it's a really exciting development for us. It's a brilliant line up and one that I'm sure will appeal to a wide audience. We've already seen that there is a huge demand for live music here in the region and this multi-artist event has something for everyone, at an affordable price for a great day's entertainment."

Tickets for the event will go on sale at 9am UK time on Friday (February 8).
