Dido has recalled her most disastrous show to date where she was "stripped naked" on stage.

The 'Stan' songstress is currently promoting her new album 'Girl Who Got Away'.

Dido, 41, is a seasoned performer, but admits not all of her gigs have been plain sailing.

Speaking to the Metro newspaper, the star revealed: "It was in LA and there was an air force base next to the venue. For some reason, I was just hearing all this ‘bravo oscar tango’ stuff on my in-ear monitors. They tried to change my monitor pack in the middle of the show, not realising I’d sewn it to my trousers, and they ripped the back of my trousers off in front of 20,000 people. Not only was I being stripped naked, I couldn’t sing properly because the only thing I could hear was ‘bravo oscar’ and then the system went down.

She added: "I got the worst review of my life."

Dido tries to avoid reading reviews for shows she knows haven't been her greatest.

She explained: "When I put an album out, I properly believe in it and I think it’s great. If someone gives it a bad review, I think: ‘Oh well, you didn’t get it, that’s not a problem.’ But if you get a bad review for something you know was a bit s*** – like that gig – that’s a whole different thing because it makes you feel terrible. If I believe in stuff, I’m brave enough to read the reviews – but I wouldn’t for something like that gig."
