Rising star Tich has revealed that words of support from One Direction's Louis Tomlinson helped boost her self-confidence.

The singer, who is currently supporting Olly Murs on his UK arena tour, reflected on Tomlinson's recent praise of her music and singing in an interview with Yahoo's OMG!.

The 'Kiss You' star complimented her voice and retweeted a link to her debut video 'Dumb', helping to spread the word of Tich to millions. Speaking about the praise, the hotly-tipped singer said:

"It blew my mind, I love [One Direction] and I admire everything about them, especially their work ethic. No one even put the video up in front of him, he just tweeted it which meant even more. I just came out of the gym to millions of emails and I was like 'what's going on?'"

She continued: "He just said it was an amazing song and tweeted the video. He actually really helped me to believe in myself. I just thought - if someone like Louis thinks it's cool then maybe I should carry on!"
