Vanilla Ice signs up for Amish reality TV show

90s rapper Vanilla Ice has confirmed his involvement in a new reality television series that will focus on the lifestyles of the Amish community.

Entitled 'Vanilla Ice Goes Amish', the programme will detail the star's experiences as he moves in with a family in an Amish community in Ohio and learns how they deal with construction. It will air on the DIY television network.

He is no stranger to manual labour as back in 2011, Vanilla Ice presented home improvements show 'The Vanilla Ice Project' on the same channel.

Earlier today (April 24), he took to his official Twitter page and told his 148,000 followers about his decision to do the show (pictured below): "The idea came from a random conversation, I was curious about Amish, they are masters of craftsmanship. Real deal! #vanillaicegoesamish."
