Cher: 'Luck has been the key to my career's longevity'

'Believe' icon Cher has revealed that she thinks luck, as opposed to talent, has been the factor that has kept her career afloat for decades.

Following her recent performance of her new single, 'Woman's World', on 'The Voice' she confessed that there is no secret to long-lasting fame that she knows of although she would credit her own success to luck.

"If you have an idea, you tell me because I haven't got a clue. I believe that luck has a lot to do with it," she told the Huffington Post. "There are lots of people who are more talented or whatever, but somehow this has been my path. So this is what I'm doing."

When asked to pass on words of wisdom to aspiring music stars, Cher added: "You're screwed. That's my advice. You don't deal with it. You just try to get a place where no one can find you and that's your little sanctuary. I have a fabulous house that I love and it's my sanctuary."
