One Direction's Niall Horan praises "loud" Washington DC crowd

One Direction hunk Niall Horan reckons their recent Washington DC audience was the loudest US crowd of the year yet.

The group are currently in the States on the North American leg of their Take Me Home tour and last night (June 23) they performed at the Verizon Center in DC.

Speaking on Twitter, Irishman Horan said that he thinks the crowd was the most ear-deafening yet. He said:

"DC, unbelievable gig tonight! U were soooooo loud! One of the loudest on the US run so far."

Noisy fans, however, isn't something that has particularly enamoured the band in the past few days.

Singer Liam Payne was forced to speak out on Twitter after a number of the band's devotees repeatedly called their hotel rooms and kept the group awake.

The 'Live While We're Young' man later apologised for offending anyone through his outburst, but admitted he was tired and homesick
