One Direction's Niall Horan lends support to Kodaline chart bid

One Direction star Niall Horan has asked his fans to help Kodaline hit No.1 in the UK albums chart.

The Dublin group released their debut record 'In a Perfect World' on Monday (June 17) and Horan wants his fellow countrymen to hit No.1 tonight (June 23) when the charts are released.

He said on Twitter: "Uk! @Kodaline need your help t get t #1 this week with there album! Go get it!"

The Irish quartet - who landed at No.1 in their homeland with the album - retweeted the message, with Horan later adding:

"It's an unbelievable album! Class act you lads are! #doinitfortheirish."

The group charted at No.1 in the UK when the midweek update was released on Wednesday (June 19), displacing Black Sabbath.

Kodaline have released two singles so far in the UK - 'Love Like This' and 'High Hopes' - with both hitting the top 25.
