One Direction and Taylor Swift were among the big winners at this year's Teen Choice Awards.

The glitzy ceremony was held on Sunday (August 11) as the cream of the entertainment industry honoured its brightest stars.

One Direction won four awards on the night - Choice Single: Group, Choice Love Song, Choice Music Group and Choice Summer Tour.

The boyband's Harry Styles meanwhile picked up the Male Hottie and Smile gongs.

Other winners on the night included Taylor Swift, who reigned supreme in the country categories, and Demi Lovato, who won the coveted Female Artist section.

The Male Artist award meanwhile went to Justin Bieber, who also picked up the Choice Single: Male Artist prize for his track 'Beauty and a Beat'.
