Rebel Wilson's One Direction joke bleeped out of Teen Choice Awards

A joke about One Direction was muted out of last night's (August 11) Teen Choice Awards coverage.

Australian actress Rebel Wilson made a quip about the British-Irish boyband whilst accepting her best comedy actor award.

She said on stage: "You know what's weird? When I found out that there was a band called One Direction. Because that's the name I also gave my as*hole."

However, the joke was censored for the watching television audience.

Speaking to E! backstage about the group, Wilson joked that she might be interested in filming a video with them. She said:

"I'd love to do a song with them and a film clip where we get really hot and sexy. I didn't [ask them]. They were like brushing their hair and getting ready. But maybe if I see them again I'll talk to them."
