ABBA tease reunion plans

ABBA's Agnetha Fältskog has confirmed that the group are considering reuniting to celebrate an upcoming anniversary.

The iconic Swedish foursome split in 1982 and rumours about the band reforming constantly rear their head.

Next year, however, sees the 40th anniversary of the release of landmark hit 'Waterloo' and Fältskog revealed to Germany's Welt Am Sonntag that there could be an event to mark the milestone.

Speaking about the possibility of the group performing live, she said: "Of course it's something we're thinking about. There seem to be plans to do something to mark this anniversary in some way. I can't say at this point what will come of them."

The group originally consisted of Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson.

Tracks such as 'Dancing Queen' and 'Mamma Mia' became massive hits, with ABBA said to have released a total of 73 singles in their ten years together.

Fältskog meanwhile said in May this year that the chances of ABBA reforming were very unlikely.
