Black Lips recruit Mark Ronson to produce new album

Mark Ronson may be in a successful band, but he is still finding time to work as a producer.

The Business INTL star has revealed that he's working with the Atlanta garage band Black Lips on the follow up album to their 2009 release '200 Million Thousand'. The new record is due out on April 5 and Ronson explained to Bang Showbiz that:

"They certainly know all their garage and '60s rock stuff better than I do, but I love all that stuff, so there is like a shared aesthetic,"

"So we're both like we want it to sound spooky and warbly and eerie and ghostly."

Black Lips' guitarist, Ian Saint Pé, revealed they wanted Ronson in particular:

"When we were thinking about people we wanted to work with that Amy Winehouse record sounded really dope, and Mark just seemed to understand the old school way of recording. We definitely invited him over because of his old school production values."
