Miley Cyrus has relieved some of her recent heartbreak by adopting a new puppy.

As previously reported, the singer was left distraught recently after beloved dog Lila was killed by one of her bulldogs.

She later rehomed the bulldog to a new home to ensure the tragic accident can't happen again.

It seems Cyrus has moved to replace the dogs, however, with the singer revealing on Twitter that she has welcomed Bean into the family.

She said: "Bean is a little girl :) she is a chihuahua mix of some type :) she brought so much sunshine!!!"

The star proclaimed that "I love my little bean so much" before posting a series of photos of the adorable puppy.
