Pop superstar Miley Cyrus has revealed that while people might think she's in the middle of a downward spiral, everything she is doing is planned and intentional. 

Her new MTV documentary, 'Miley: The Movement', will premiere later on this evening in the USA (October 2) and she confessed that she knows what she's doing and is very much in control of her behaviour:

"I think if people could see the details, they would know that this isn't just some mess," she said. "This is all thought out in my mind. Every decision goes into a bigger plan. For me, the movement needs to be something bigger than just a record."

"For me, a movement is something that represents like taking over the world. People can look at the VMA performance and think it's a hot mess. It's a strategic hot mess."

Cyrus added that she feels confident at this point in her career: "I was born to become who I am right now ... I'm at a point in my career where I can be exactly what I want to be, who I want to be. I have this freedom to do whatever I want, because I'm starting as a new artist now. Every time I do anything, I want to remember, this is what separates me from everybody else."
