Nicole Scherzinger might be celebrating her first solo number 1 single in the UK, but there's one achievement in particular that her mother is less than excited by. 

Speaking to The Daily Star, the 'Don't Hold Your Breath' singer explained that her recent collaboration with an internationally acclaimed artist didn't do much to impress her mum, but a more low-key television appearance was the talk of her household:

"I was so nervous and excited to be singing with Sting. He is the sexiest, most beautiful person that I’ve ever worked with. I’m trying my best to stay cool in the studio."

“So I call my mum, I’m like, ‘Ma I want you to know I’m doing a duet with a legendary artist right now, it’s such an honour. I’m working with Sting.”

She continued:

“There’s silence the other end and she says ‘well that’s nice but when are you going to be doing Dancing With The Stars?’”
