Pixie Lott admits Strictly Come Dancing nerves

Pixie Lott has revealed her nerves ahead of her Strictly Come Dancing debut.

The singer is due to appear on the BBC dancing show as it makes its return this autumn.

The series will kick off on September 7 before launching into live shows at the end of the month.

Lott is one of many celebrities taking part in the show, but the Brit told Yahoo that she is getting anxious about lining up on the series.

She said: "Before shows like [a festival] I don’t really get nervous because I’m just with my band, and singing my songs, and I love it and I love the crowd. But for Strictly it’s going to be so different for me, I think I’m going to be nervous."

Speaking meanwhile about her fellow competitors, Lott added:

"They’re all really good, even from the group rehearsal everyone is picking up the steps. Everyone seems really friendly."

Other stars due to take on Strictly this year include The Saturdays' Frankie Bridge, Scott Mills, Simon Webbe and Caroline Flack.

They will be joined by Alison Hammond, Gregg Wallace, Jake Wood, Jennifer Gibney, Judy Murray, Mark Wright, Steve Backshall, Sunetra Sarker, Thom Evans and Tim Wonnacott.
