Pixe Lott has stormed into the top of the UK singles chart with her new offering, 'All About Tonight'. 

The star's new release has entered this afternoon (September 7) at No.1, knocking Example's smash hit 'Stay Awake' down 4 positions to No.5. Following closely behind at No.2 is The Saturdays' 'All Fired Up'. 

The Official Charts Company revealed that although the two all-girl acts are now in very close competition, singer Lott is likely to maintain the lead and be crowned this week's No.1:

"An all-female battle for the top spot in the Official Singles Chart is underway, with Pixie Lott leading the race to claim her third Official Number One Single with new release 'All About Tonight'."

There's another new entry in the Top Ten this week from Leona Lewis/Avicii with 'Collide' at No.4 and Snow Patrol's new single, 'Called Out In The Dark', narrowly skims the frontrunners to chart at No.11.
