Rihanna premieres video

Rihanna’s new video for ‘Only Girl (In the World)’ premiered on MTV yesterday (October 13).

It’s directed by Anthony Mandler (who has also helmed videos for Jay-Z, Drake and Mary J. Blige). The song is the first single from Rihanna’s forthcoming album ‘Loud’.

The track is currently number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. ‘Loud’, out next month, includes collaborations with Drake and Nicki Minaj.

"I'm really amazed that she can write like that,” says Rihanna of working with Minaj. “[Nicki] not only raps, but she can write songs too. It was really easy, actually. We were going back and forth with the texts on how we were going to get to do it, because we were in two different places and had two opposite schedules."

She speaks as highly of Drake who worked on the remix of ‘What's My Name’, telling Billboard, "Drake is the hottest rapper out right now, and we've always been trying to work together. He's the only person I thought could really understand the melody of the song, and the minute he heard it, he said, 'I know exactly what I'm going to do. I love it.' And he did it, like, three days later."

The full version of the video is only available in the US, but here's a teaser for everyone else:
