The Prodigy score their sixth No. 1 UK albumThe Prodigy have achieved their sixth chart-topping LP with their latest release ‘The Day Is My Enemy’. ‘The Day Is My Enemy’ is the British outfit’s first album release in six years, with their last record being 2009’s chart-topping ‘Invaders Must Die’. Last week’s No. 1 album from James Bay, ‘Chaos And The Calm’, has now slipped to No. 2. Sam Smith is also down one place with ‘In The Lonely Hour’ at No. 3. ‘X’ by Ed Sheeran is down one to No. 4. Sia’s ‘1000 Forms Of Fear’ has surged up the chart from No. 24 to No. 5 this week – a new peak chart placing for the 2014 album. Other than The Prodigy’s No. 1 debut, further new entries to this week’s album chart come from Sufjan Stevens with ‘Carrie & Lowell’ at No. 6, Circa Waves at No. 10 with ‘Young Chasers’, and Nightwish at No. 12 with ‘Endless Forms Most Beautiful’. Outside of the Top 20 there are new entries from Hudson Taylor with ‘Singing For Strangers’ at No. 24, Death Cab For Cutie’s ‘Kintsugi’ at No. 28, Madeon’s ‘Adventure’ at No. 30, Steve Hackett’s ‘Wolflight’ at No. 31, Hollywood Undead’s ‘Day Of The Dead’ at No. 34, and Godspeed You Black Emperor’s ‘Asunder Sweet And Other Distress’ at No. 37.
