The Script have announced plans to tour the UK early next year.

The Irish trio released their new album '#3' on September 10 and it managed to hit No.2 in Britain on its first week of release.

Their single 'Hall of Fame', however, rocketed to the top of the UK singles chart on Sunday (September 16).

They have now announced a number of arena dates in the country for March next year, with shows planned in England, Scotland and Wales.

The jaunt will kick off in Nottingham on March 8 before finishing up at London's O2 Arena on March 23.

Tickets are on sale from 9.30am UK time on Friday September 21.
