The first single from Nathan Sykes has impacted the UK iTunes top ten.

The singer confirmed today (May 12) that he will release the track 'Kiss Me Quick' as his first single.

The song's EP has now gone on pre-order ahead of its June 28 release.

At the time of writing, the EP bundle is sitting pretty at No.9 on the UK iTunes albums chart.

Sykes meanwhile went solo following the split of The Wanted - which was described as a break - last year.

He recently said: "We did say it was just going to be a break and I was like ‘What am I going to do?' and I was like 'OK, I'm gonna do what I love because I'm far too young to stop doing what I absolutely adore doing.

"So I was like, 'OK, I'm going to go into the studio and see what happens' and the music was really strong - we found a sound really quickly."
