The Vamps' James McVey on his band's merchandise: 'We're not making condoms'

Guitarist James McVey asked his followers on Twitter earlier tonight (May 19) what they wanted to see in terms of the band's new merchandise, but he revealed that they won't be making their own brand of condoms.

Writing on his Twitter page this evening, the star asked: "What new merch do you guys want us to design and release? Having a think right now..." The 'Last Night' heartthrob then returned to the social networking and shot down a rather risqué suggestion, adding: "We are not making condoms."

Earlier this month, McVey explained that he is daunted by the amount of fame his band is finding and he's unsure of the world he's getting himself into: "Stepping into a world I'm not so sure of. I am petrified. I don't know where this will go but it makes me feel alive like I've never felt."

The Vamps, meanwhile, just confirmed details of their forthcoming new single, which is the Savan Kotecha-penned 'Somebody To You', and revealed that they're really excited to have Demi Lovato as guest vocalist on the track. McVey tweeted: "So I LOVE Demi's voice... ahh sooooo lucky to have her on our next single :o:o:o @ddlovato."
