Guitarist James McVey, of The Vamps fame, has revealed that he has a deep undying love for flame-haired singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran that borders on inappropriate. 

Writing on his Twitter page this afternoon (October 14), the heartthrob joked:

"Going to be going public with something very sensitive to me that nobody other than my parents knows soon. I need to. I'm not gay. Only for you. I want to ballroom dance with you and smell your hair. I bet it smells like cinnamon. There's no shame in what I feel for you."

Upon seeing his series of tweets, Sheeran posted a public response and told McVey: "I'm glad you're finally coming clean about us. (My hair) smells like sweat and shame."

Earlier this month, drummer Tristan Evans told Attitude magazine that The Vamps have more of a gay following now thanks to McVey's array of shirtless photos:

"Yes, I think there’s a small minority now. Especially when James posts shirtless pictures! I can’t do that, because I don’t have a good body! There are a few dudes in the audience at our shows. We saw a few in the Isle of Wight, and that was cool."
