Janet Devlin reaches pledge goal for debut album

Former X Factor finalist Janet Devlin has finally reached 100% of her goal after asking fans to pledge funds to support the recording of her debut album.

Earlier last year, the songstress launched a pledge page where she called for followers to help finance her forthcoming studio record and she has now achieved her target. Writing about the success on Twitter (January 1), she thanked her fans for their efforts:

"Actually couldn't have had a better end to 2012... finding out that i can now officially record my album :3 meepmeep. Still can't believe in a few days I get to go into the studio and record my album :O thank you guys!!"

Devlin will team up with Eliot Kennedy, who has previously worked with the likes of Bryan Adams, Spice Girls and Australian singer Delta Goodrem, and she is expected to reveal more details about the project in due course.
